It's OFFICIAL!!!!

It's true! I am officially a student teacher! I know I can hardly believe it myself! I will be at Mt. Logan Middle School in a severe unit for 2 months and then at Edith Bowen Elementary in a fifth grade classroom for the last two months. It is hard to believe that I am really done with college classes and now what remains is my student teaching. Even harder for me to grasp is the fact that I will have my own classroom this fall! Or the fact that I will have two bachelors! I feel truly blessed to have been able to go through the schooling that I have and the opportunities that it has given me. More than anything I am truly grateful for the fact that I am able to do something that I love. I believe that it is what I have always been meant to do. Thanks to those who have supported me, loved me, and encouraged me-especially when I wanted to give up. My family has played such a large role in it, as have many of my roommates, and some truly good friends. The Special Education Program not only gave me a great education but it gave me the opportunity to meet and become friends with some of the most amazing people I have ever met. Thanks to my immediate family, my extended family, and my SPED family. Without you I could not have dreamed of making it this far!

Keeping on Keeping on...

So I am still alive...I know I have been extremely horrible at keeping this up to date! Josh and I have been doing really good. Josh and I both celebrated our birthdays and had a great time! Josh has been busy with work and school has been keeping me rather busy as well. I have been working with a wonderful teacher who has let me teach as much as I want. The class of third graders has been really fun and I think that they have taught me more than I have taught them. I will be finishing up my practicum this next week and then one week of classes and the semester will be over! YAY!!! I am really excited to start my student teaching in January. The pictures below are from when we did our family pictures with my side of the family I also added a picture of Josh and I with Monika and Steve when we went to Homecoming! We had a great time going to dinner and the dance with them. Monika and I try to get together at least once a week which can be difficult with crazy schedules like ours...Love ya Monika!

Hard weekend

Man this last little while has been a little crazy! School has been good but is definitely keeping me busy with little projects. I am for sure missing my SPED group but I am finding some friends in my new classes as well. Josh is working a lot and had to work a couple of night shifts last week that put him home after 10:30 and I have early classes so we didn't get to spend tons of "us" time. So we decided that this last weekend would be some major us time!
Friday night we had a date night just the two of us. On Saturday morning we were able to go to Josh's old bosses' son's baptism (whew that was a mouthful) where Josh was able to stand in and help with the confirmation. It is really fun to be able to see him use his priesthood. We had also decided to go to the temple that afternoon with two of our good friends...here comes the scary part of the weekend. While we were at the temple I passed out and had a small seizure. Those of you who know anything about seizures know that they wipe you out. So instead of going to dinner and playing Rock Band with our friends as planned I got wheeled out of the temple in a wheelchair and went home to rest for the rest of the day/night.
My body still hasn't fully recovered and I am still getting dizzy at times...so hopefully we will be able to get into the doctor and figure out what the heck is wrong with me (besides what we already know:))I'm sure all is fine but we'll see! Don't be worried all is well! I'll let you know if it's anything too serious-I'm pretty sure that I'm just crazy lol

Wedding Countdown!
